Jim Neri
Principal/CEO of Neri Landscape Architecture
Jim Neri grew up on the bluffs and beaches of La Jolla, gaining an appreciation for the design subtleties found in both natural and built landscapes. Schooled in Horticulture at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo then earning a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona in 1985, he sketched his way through Europe before entering a professional life designing the great outdoors in San Diego and founding Neri Landscape Architecture in 1997. His work on civic projects and zoological gardens has garnered several awards and earned Neri Landscape Architecture a reputation for design excellence. Jim contributes to his local community as member of Friends of Windansea, and to the greater community as a past member of the San Diego Public Art Committee, the Mayor’s Community Forest Advisory Board, and now the San Diego Parks Foundation. Jim Neri is married and has two children.
